Beckham Bids To Get Back On The National Side

Becks has joined AC Milan on a three month loan deal in hopes to show England Manager Capello that he should still be on the English national team. It seems like a last, desperate attempt to persuade Capello to take him back on his starting squad but it is unlikely that it is going to happen.
Since taking on the burden of coaching the English national team, Capello has made it clear that he wasn't going to favour England's stars, and has shown faith in many of the youth. The fact that Capello has chosen to use a 4-3-3 formation in the last number of World Cup Qualifiers means there is even less chance that Beckham can crack the starting 11. With Lampard, Gerrard, Joe Cole, and Barry all fighting for 3 places the odds are not in Beckham's favor.
So, in what seems like a futile attempt to regain his youth, what is in it for him? Besides what is sure to be a hefty sum of money he gets to play in one of the top leagues in Europe again, on a team that is brimming with superstars. To me that is enough, even if he never plays for England again to come back to an amazing team after playing in the MLS is an amazing accomplishment. I have never been a fan of Beckham but I hope he is successful in his stint in Italy.
